LiScopeLens is an open-source license incompatibility analysis tool that models license terms through scope representation and supports practical compliance analysis in large open-source codebases.

Overview

This paper presents LiScopeLens, a practical tool for analyzing incompatibilities between open-source licenses. The system focuses on scope-aware representation of license terms and supports engineering workflows where compliance questions arise in real repositories.

Open-source impact

The corresponding system has been applied to license-compliance analysis on the OpenHarmony main branch. Multiple incompatibility issues were identified and validated, helping drive upstream fixes and real community adoption.
